Abrasive waterjet cutting has earned a good reputation in the metal cutting industry as a flexible and economical method of machining. It is an accurate method of cutting complex or difficult parts that may not be suitable for die cutting or stamping and where material is heat sensitive.
Please select any of the specific metal categories listed above to see our gallery of projects.
Methods of metal cutting/machining such as plasma, oxy acetylene, band saw, laser, wire EDM, and conventional milling all have inherent benefits but can’t compete with waterjet cutting when it comes to kerf and the “cold cutting” method which leaves no heat affected zones. Many high grade alloys are expensive and the small kerf allows for closer parts positioning within the sheet thus maximizing material use.
Think thin to thick! We can cut material from .005 up through 6.0 inches thick and if tolerance permits, thinner materials can be stacked to provide additional savings. We cut customer supplied materials or we can provide the material for your job.
Waterjet West has the expertise to handle your cutting application and we will advise you on the best methods to save time and material cost.
